Team Building Games Your Employees Will Love
Team building games are the meat and potatoes of a company picnic. Besides the delicious food and mesmerizing live entertainment, they’re the highlight of any corporate BBQ. When you think of a company picnic, you tend to think of field games and team bonding experiences. Naturally, we do too. Here are a few of our most popular company picnic team building activities.
1. Human Sprocket
Human Sprocket is a great way to promote team bonding. Two teams of four work together to turn the wheel and see who is first to bring it across the finish line! It’s a great way to build a bond between teams, and it’s also a wonderful field game in general. Harkening back to childhood field days, this game is an amazing addition to any company picnic.
2. Jumbo Jenga
Everybody loves Jenga! Our Jumbo Jenga adds an extra layer of challenging, with the pieces being the size of a dinner plate. Players face off to remove and re-add pieces and the one who adds the final piece before collapse is the winner. The game is classic for any party, and with its giant incarnation, it’s perfect for any company picnic. It’s a very exciting game that is sure to enrapture any picnic goers, even those who aren’t a part of a round!
3. Giant Connect Three
Bigger is always better! Our Giant Connect Three game is played using basketballs of two different colors. Two guests go head-to-head to see who can make a row of three using their basketballs. The oversized twist on this classic party game makes it even more challenging. After all, it’s one thing to drop a disc in a slot on your coffee table. It’s a whole other thing to throw a basketball into the correct spot on a giant inflatable! We guarantee this makes a fun team building experience for your next company picnic.

4. Mega Obstacle Course
Obstacle courses are a classic for any family day. The challenges and the face-offs they bring just make any romp in the park one to remember. Our Mega Obstacle Course is an inflatable goliath that is no exception to this rule. It takes team building exercises to the next level! It’s brightly colored and absolutely massive. A big game like this will surely fill up our favorite large venues, like Whittier Narrows Special Events Area B! Who will be the first to cross the finish line?
5. Giant Cup Stack
Cup stacking is a challenge, but goodness, is it exciting. Players must try to stack cups in predetermined shapes as fast as they can, with the fastest being the winner. However, our giant cup stack adds a bit of a challenge. The cups are massive, and you can’t grip them with just one hand. This seriously impedes speed and slows down even the quickest cup stacker! However, that’s what makes it fun. It’s a riot, and a challenging one at that. Face off with two of your guests and see who’s fastest at wrangling these giant cups.

7. Parachute Volleyball
Parachute Volleyball is another pinnacle of team building. Two groups of players all clutch on to their respective parachutes and try to send the volleyball back and forth between them. It’s basically volleyball cranked up to 100. It’s a hoot to play and to watch, and really promotes team building. Even people standing on the sidelines tend to get swept up in its action and excitement! It’ll definitely be a hit at your company picnic.

8. Mega Escape Room
Escape rooms are definitely a wonderful team building exercise, and now we can bring them to your very own company picnic. Teams of six to ten players spend fifteen minutes gathering artifacts and decoding puzzles to escape their intergalactic captors. It’s an exciting way to spend your afternoon, and 60 total players can compete in an hour. The teams face off head-to-head, and the fastest team wins. It’s definitely an exciting way to promote bonding in a team.
9. Giant Pong
A classic party game with a twist! Giant Pong has been a hit at all our company picnics, and for good reason. Using giant buckets for cups and a large ball, it’s an improvement on your favorite backyard game. This game is nothing short of exciting and, like its classic version, is best played with friends. It’s sure to bring a smile to the faces of anyone who plays it!

A list of team building games wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Tug O’ War. It’s a classic for a reason! From school field days to corporate BBQs, Tug O’ War has stood the test of time as being the standard for a team game. Why, then, would any list of team games miss it? The excitement of two teams putting their all into drawing the rope across the marker is unmatched. Of course, it’s best played with a large group.
