Hawaiian luaus can trace their roots back hundreds of years and have sustained a rocky pasts as sharp as the volcanic stone which it was founded. Despite it’s setbacks, it survived and even thrives into the modern day. It is important to note that despite its name, many elements of a commonplace luau are, in fact, not Hawaiian at all. Instead, they reflect the mixed culture and melting pot that America has become. We aim to provide an educational and DEI friendly luau that spreads awareness and exposes society to the beauty that is a Lū’au.
